libatomic-ops-dev software package provides A library for atomic operations (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libatomic-ops-dev
libatomic-ops-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libatomic-ops-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libatomic-ops-dev *
You will get with libatomic-ops-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
